Holy Relics

Our parish is blessed to preserve the Holy Relics of St. Gregorios of Parumala and St. Dionysius of Vattasseril, the two canonized saints of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.

Why Do Orthodox Christians Venerate Holy Relics?

Orthodox Christians worship only the Holy Triune God. We venerate the relics of the saints with reverence because the saints remain living members of the Body of Christ.

The relics of the saints remind us that holiness is possible through God’s grace and that those who have faithfully followed Christ continue to pray for the Church.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

โ€” Psalm 116:15

Our parish is blessed to preserve the Holy Relics of two beloved saints of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. Their lives continue to inspire generations of faithful Christians around the world.

St. Gregorios of Parumala was the first canonized saint of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. Revered for his holiness, humility, and pastoral care, he continues to inspire the faithful through his life and intercessions.

St. Dionysius of Vattasseril faithfully defended and strengthened the Malankara Orthodox Church through courageous leadership, prayer, and unwavering commitment to the Orthodox faith.
